Charity Partner

Before, during, and 30 days after the festival, 10% of the proceeds from sculpture sales are given back to a different local charity that ScrapFest decides to work with each year.

For 2026, we’re donating to:

WHAT WE [MMRS] BELIEVE

Mid-Michigan Recovery Services Inc. [MMRS] is committed to inspiring hope by providing a safe environment - teaching and modeling healthy lifestyles for all impacted by substance use disorders. We KNOW recovery is possible.

We know because our organization has been serving the community for over a half century and we have close connections with members of the community in long term recovery who were once clients. In fact, we have hired some of them. Our organization believes in diversity of community and strives to ensure that our staff is diverse and culturally understanding.

We understand that every person is unique. Our philosophy is based on a holistic methodology and evidence-based practices. Each person requires a personalized approach for substance use treatment and recovery. Our commitment is to approach a treatment plan with each individual; tailoring the plan to goals set with each individual for an effective and personal path to overcoming addiction.

Our organization follows the Recovery Oriented Systems of Care [ROSC] model of service as the foundation for all of our programming. ROSC is simply defined as community-network of services and supports that is coordinated to be person-centered building on the strength and resilience of the individual, families and community to achieve improved health, wellness and quality of life in abstinence for those with or at risk of substance use disorders.

In this commitment MMRS serves as an active affiliate of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Ingham Substance Abuse Coalition, Greater Lansing Homeless Resolution Network and Capital Area Project VOX. We also participate in the Power of We Consortium, Recovery Oriented Systems of Care Work group, Families Against Narcotics, are an active affiliate with Capital Area United Way.

We're so glad to partner with MMRS this year! Make sure to visit their booth at the festival to learn more!
